Oh my goodness! I am so excited to be the new owner of Big on Batik! This is the closest I have ever come to winning the LOTTO or of having a dream come true. It has been so encouraging working with Cathy for so many years and it just seems natural to me to continue on with Cathy's great spirit for Big On Batik. I am all about giving great choices for clothing to our community because we deserve it!
   I used to look at catalogs and photos thinking why don't they make that in my size?! Not having the choices I wanted was so frustrating! When I dreamed about having my own plus-size clothing line, I would envision what designs I would love to create that would have the right look to flatter a plus size woman. I knew what I could do with my artistic vision if I ever had the chance, and now I do. Please join me and Big On Batik as I make my fashion dreams materialize!

  There will be many great items in 2006! I plan on keeping all the same wonderful styles and patterns that Cathy has done such a fantastic job of designing. I simply want to add even more choices with some fun new details and design changes.
   We'll start out with the "Best of Big On Batik" basic line. Your favorite styles will be offered in wonderful solid colors so you can mix and match with all the wonderful Batik prints you own. For January, we will have some of Big On Batik's most popular new items such as the pleasing Peasant Top in white, black and new in solid wine.  We'll have the adorable Sweetheart Top in solid black, wine, and a deep purple. These tops look sweet with anything and oh so cozy for those winter months. And those sexy Smock Tops are back. They look great on every figure and they are super cute with everything. We have them with straps in solid pretty in pink, lovely lavender, basic black and even fresh white. January offerings will also include more of the popular batik t-shirts from Keeper of the Rainbow, and some colorful Cocoon Jackets in bright Plumeria and Tiare. These are great for dress ups, jackets, and cover ups you name it--the versatility of these gorgeous prints make them a must-have item!

   In May, look forward to more of your Big On Batik favorites such as the popular Sundresses and Caftan Tops--just in time for summer.

Big On Batik began in 1996 when I introduced three basic plus-size styles on the Internet; all hand-sewn from my home studio. I had not only personally experienced the need for a wider variety of plus-size fashions, but I also knew there were many other women out there who felt the same. In an effort to expand what I could offer to our customers, I made contacts in Bali in 1998 which lead to the introduction of dresses and pant sets in addition to my original designs. We have grown steadily ever since and now most of the older styles have been retired to make way for the new trends and latest fashions that you want. I thank each of you, our loyal customers, for coming back to us again and again, from the very beginning until now.
